December Update - a call for help
Figured I'd give a final update before the end of the year on current happenings.
First things first: Waitlist is still being worked on. I had hoped to be done by December but my health is a fickle thing and thus my plans got derailed. I've managed to get halfway through and expect to message the next people on January 2nd. That means that the next two people can expect to be messaged on the aforementioned date!
Second things second: Some of you know I'm working on a manga at the moment but progress has been slow as I'm prioritising commission work until I can afford to work on personal projects. I do have the layout of the panels all already planned and the script for the first chapter has been finished and proofread so it's all ready to go once I get the time.
This now leads me to my next point however: Money is tight.
Some of you may know that my husband was made to take a paycut at the beginning of the year when the company he works for made people and positions redundant. The money he earns is enough to pay off the bills but not the food - which is what my commission earnings have been going towards. And for a while we managed - at least until our washer-dryer broke and dentist appointments had to be made. That's when our bank account's overdraft became unmanageable. That coupled with my burnout means we are currently in -£655.55 overdraft. The only good news is that hubby is on track to get a pay raise - but he won't be seeing this until January at the earliest assuming HR approves it (he was previously rejected for this back in May because the company thought "it would look bad on them to allow for a pay raise after making people redundant" despite boasting that this shift in the company's structure would allow for exactly such pay raises). My main concern now is that we may soon reach the overdraft limit which means we won't be able to afford anything to eat.I'm sick of having to ask but if anyone can spare any money at all we'd appreciate it. The timing is atrocious with Christmas around the corner so I don't expect much if anything at all.
